Semioticom

Semioticom has spent 30+ years helping global brands say the right thing in every language, working across strategy, project management, and production for enterprise clients who can't afford a mistranslated word. Their website wasn't holding up its end of that promise: it undersold three decades of specialist expertise, buried its service structure, and gave little reason for an enterprise buyer to trust it with anything sensitive. We partnered with Semioticom on a full rebrand and rebuild, turning that expertise into a digital presence precise enough to match it.

Understanding how a translation buyer actually decides

Before opening a design file, we mapped how a prospective client, typically an enterprise team evaluating localization partners, actually makes a decision: what they need to trust first, what they need to understand fast, and what would move them to get in touch. We treated Semioticom's three service pillars, Strategy, Management, and Production, not as a menu but as a decision path, helping visitors quickly place themselves and find the kind of partner they actually need. Information architecture came first, because for a company whose entire value proposition is clarity, an unclear site was the opposite of on-brand.

A visual identity built on the same precision they sell

Once we knew how people needed to move through the site, we turned to how it needed to look and sound. Semioticom's brand had to read as confident and specialist without tipping into corporate stiffness, since the people evaluating them are often comparing several vendors in a single afternoon. We built a visual language and a copy voice around clarity: direct language over agency jargon, a restrained colour and type system that lets content lead, and consistent patterns across every service page so nothing has to be relearned page to page.

Turning the approach into a working design system

We translated that direction into a full design system: a clear typographic hierarchy for a buyer scanning under time pressure, consistent card and section patterns across every service, sector, and industry page, and a visual identity restrained enough to let the writing do the convincing rather than compete with it. Every page, from the top-level services overview down to individual offerings, follows the same logic, so nothing about the design has to be relearned as someone moves deeper into the site.

Building it to actually hold up in production

We built the site on WordPress with WPML for full multilingual support, a deliberate choice for a localization specialist whose own site needed to walk the talk. Every layout was built responsive-first and tested across breakpoints, so the service breakdown reads as clearly on a phone in a hallway as it does on a desktop in a boardroom. Because Semioticom routinely handles sensitive client content, security and data handling weren't treated as an afterthought: we hardened hosting, implemented GDPR-compliant cookie consent, and kept data hygiene solid from day one. On the copy side, we rewrote every service page to trade agency jargon for plain, confident language: what each service does, who it's for, and why it matters, so the messaging finally matched the clarity the brand now promised.
